SRE Recognized as Accredited Management Organization

Sloss Real Estate Adds to its List of Accomplishments:  Recognized as Accredited Management Organization By the Institute of Real Estate Management

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 05, 2014 - Sloss Real Estate Company, Inc. has earned the Accredited Management Organization ® (AMO®) accreditation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®), company officials announced today.

“For 80 years the IREM® has set the standards for best practices in real estate management,” according to the IREM® website.  The AMO® accreditation is the only one in the industry that recognizes excellence in real estate management firms.  Firms that earn this accreditation must demonstrate the highest standards in professional service, financial stability and accountability, and have a Certified Property Manager ® (CPM®) directing and supervising the real estate management team.  In January 2014, the IREM® recognized Sloss Real Estate’s Director of Property Management, Peter Drake, as a CPM®, which makes the firm eligible for such accreditation.

“I am proud to say our team at Sloss Real Estate has demonstrated the highest standards of professionalism and ethics, which has allowed us to be recognized among an elite group of commercial real estate firms,” said Catherine Sloss Jones, Sloss Real Estate President. “This type of professional credibility will allow our exceptional team of professionals to continue working diligently to revitalize Birmingham.”

In addition to AMO® and CPM® accomplishments, Sloss Real Estate received The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award from the Washington, D.C.-based Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International for Ridge Park, and earned an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Energy Star rating.
