Baptist Health at Ridge Park

Baptist Health relocated their office to Ridge Park in 2013, while Sloss Real Estate purchased the former head quarters with plans to redevelop that facility.     

The deal kept Baptist Health in the city limits of Birmingham, and will allow Sloss to redevelop more than an entire city block in the revitalized Lakeview district.  Due to the significance this deal created for future redevlopement, it was recognized by the BBJ as one of the top Commercial Real Estate Deals of 2013.

Completely renovated former Southern Company Service Headquarters Building.

In 1997 Sloss Real Estate completely renovated the 250,000 square foot former Southern Company Service Headquarters Building on behalf of Orchid, LLC. After being gutted completely and given a new exterior, the building is now a striking landmark on Shades Creek Parkway. Sloss Real Estate served as developer, manager, and leasing agent for the project.

One Federal Place

Located in Birmingham’s City Center, this facility contains office and retail space.

Sloss Real Estate and its partner, Atlanta-based Barry Real Estate Company, began construction on this new 310,000 square foot office building in January 2001. Located in Birmingham’s city center, the building houses, among other tenants, Bradley, Arant, Rose & White, Alabama’s largest law firm. The building’s first floor has retail shops and connects to the Old Federal Reserve Building by a large Pocket Park and a Wall Waterfall.

Sloss Real Estate's redevelopment of the 59,000 square foot former Southern Progress Corporate Headquarters won multiple awards for design.

Redeveloped into a Class A multi-tenant office building and located in the heart of the Lakeshore/Hwy 280 community, the building continues to be an architectural landmark and is one of Birmingham's flagship sites.

The Alabama Ballet

Located in the heart of the Lakeview district, this facility has excellent visibility from the Red Mountain Expressway.

Prior to Sloss Real Estate's acquisition and renovation of the former CSX Warehouse in 1998, the State of Alabama Ballet was housed at four separate locations throughout the Birmingham Metropolitan area. Today, this 13,500 square foot facility allows the ballet to be self-contained and features four rehearsal halls, a costume shop, storage space and administrative offices. The building has won numerous awards for design and construction.

The Overlook Building

This 35,000 square foot facility is conveniently located in the historic Forest Park neighborhood.

An affiliate of Sloss Real Estate renovated the Overlook Building, formerly the home of the Birmingham office of the Army Reserve Headquarters, and converted it into Class A office space. Overlook’s stunning views of the city and convenient location make it a favorite location for businesses.
